Running Problem

Ok heres whats going on im having trouble starting my blaster and when i do get it started it runs like crap- bogging down, no powerband goindead wont start, ect. So i cleaned the gas tank, petcock, carb, I was thinking it had trash in the gas. Its fouling spark plugs. I have the banshee carb on it 34mm keihin. Once iget it started it starts first kick everytime so its got descent compression. But once i start to drive it runs like ass then goes back to being hard to start. But theres no gas runoff whatsoever. I leave the gas on all the time because the gas will never drain out. When im trying to get it to start it sound like its not getting gas. Do i need new floats or the seat or do i new to do a complete rebuild of the carb I just dont know what to do now. When i do drive it power is kicking on and off. Usually it will go dead after a few minutes of riding. Then takes a while to start back up, but when it does most of the time it has alot more power than before. Ive tried to name every sympton i could think of so hopefully i can get some good help. I need to sell it for a good price so i want people to feel its power when they test drive. Although i havent measured the bore or know much about the engine not much about it is stock i dont want to sell it for scrap. Also its lowered and i was wondering where i can get suspension to fit it because its on shocks just setting on themselves. The stock are way to long. I can go measure what size i need . Thanks
 
well first off... you need to trade me carbs. mine is stock and i just rebuilt it. so i will trade you straight across.I:I and you probably have an air leak. you need to do a compression test to check compression with a compression testor and you need to do a leakdown test. holeshotman sells leakdown testers.

Im just kidding by the way. Im sorry nut i really think it ha good compression. I havent done a test but like i said the power can kick on and off. When it does run right its running numbers like my rm 250 Its drag setup by the way I really think its a fuel problem
 
damn man. you had me on the first post. i was about to log onto my paypal. but you never know how your compression is until you do a compression test. i dont know about those carbs, but have you done a plug chop? and you can also make your own leakdown testor
 
use the search button at the top of the page. if you look hard enough you can find posts where people made them. but go to your local hardware store, and pick up some supplies. should run you somewhere around 20-30 bucks.
 
or i just checked. slickerthanyou makes them. pm him. go into members at the top left of the page, go to page 14 i think, and find him. send him a pm. might be easier than making one if you dont know what youre doing
