i went on a recent 2 day trip and it started running rich the air filter was dirty so when i got home i cleaned it and oiled it now wide open it bogs or doesn't wanna rev up all the way i can take the air filter screw loose which lets more air in and it runs good but when the air filter is tight it runs rich. i did not over oil the filter i have moved the needle but it didn't help so now I'm at the main jet and thinking about moving to a 270 but that sounds kinda lean for the mods i have

I would take the carb off and clean it . It might be full of crap from the filter being filthy . Or maybe too much oil after you cleaned the filter . Did you let the filter dry before you oiled it ?

You may need to adjust the float level or check to see if it does actually float properly!
