rm 250 wont shift past 2nd!

Hey i got an 98 rm 250 and I just did the top end and it was having trouble getting past 2nd then it started working perfectly but now it wont go past second again. What can be the problem?

How's oil level? Fresh oil? Describe better. All of a sudden? Progressively worse? Recent crash or dump? Shift shaft bent? Clutch adjusted not grooved basket? Clutch adjusted? Have you checked mech inside clutch cover?

Shift drums probably cracked/broken.


had a blaster that did the same nothing higher than 3rd.

My little bro has a 95 i fully rebuilt for him theyre nice and very fast bikes.
