so today I started the blaster and it was running and idling fine. then the exhaust fell of so I gave it a bit then went and messed with the exhaust to get it together. I then started it and it took 3 or 4 kicks with the choke on to get it going ( it's about 80 out ) then it reved to the moon so I shut it off checked everything didn't notice anything messed up started it again, still 4 kicks and choke.... left it for a few hours just cane home tryd to start it got it to run shut off the choke and put put put dead start it gain same thing touch throttle and dies .. WTF is going on.. where do I start ?

Either you have picked up some crap in the carb causing a lean mix.

Or an adjustment in the throttle has shifted.

Or something has caused an air leak.

Is the pipe sealed up real good with no leaks?

If not it could be affecting the breathing.

thanks I changed carbs to another one I had but it only helped for a minute I still have tors would that affect this?

ok found the number it says it's a 270? is that right ( I know I should plug chop) but does it sound even like it's right? no airbus lid bored .50 ( previous owner said) and fmf gold series

that 270 should be close for your mods
have you leakdown tested it ?

I don't have a leakdown tester.. or access to one or money to buy one at theoment lol that's my next investment.. doesn't someone here make them?

slickerthanyou makes/sales them, or will loan you one for a small fee and shipping

See if you can get your hands on a slosh baffle (plastic shroud).

It is needed in the carb to stop the fuel from sloshing around , which will help the float keep a constant fuel level in the bowl.

An intermittant fuel level will affect the air fuel ratio..
