My new blaster has a problem. In neutral it revs so high it wants to blow, but in gear it immediately bogs and wants to die. It wont go fast when it does decide to move, like 5 mph b/c it bogs so much. Then pull the clutch or shift to neutral and it revs high again. WHY?

Unhook the tors, if it ran fine before and u didn't mess with the jetting then its not jetting its something else, start with the tors, unplug it from the top of the carb and then try it

also other than the above mentioned it could have an airleak..which casues it to run lean.the leak could be around the reeds carb area..or a crank seal, head gasket, base gasket.just look it over real well at all sealing ares and make sure it is not sucking in air.

Thanks guys, i will try that out, also previous owner has cut the oil injection system off...idk if there is a block off kit or if he just cut the hoses. If he did just cut the hoses, does it hurt anything? there is an oil line just hanging off the carb if that means anything.

Very important, make sure the hose on the carb is plugged, if the hole on the carb is open it wil suck air, this could be your prablem

Did alot of work tonight! I plugged the hose off the carb, and tore down and cleaned it. The float was not sticking. TORS has been removed correctly also. I got it to where we start it and it idles for as long as you leave it run, but you shift to gear, and it bogs. Then you pull the clutch or go to neutral and the revs go so high the motor might blow. I will be putting a new gasket on the carb bowl tomorrow. IDK if that will help or not. Gas is leaking from the carb. Open to ideas!

where is gas leaking from the carb at? out the dump tubes or is the gasket just bad?

might be an airleak too. i'd spray some carb cleaner around the base gasket. search the forum on how to check for airleaks, i know there is one on here.

fixed it!

big thanks to all who posted, i used all the sugestions. It was a mix of the idle being too high, there being no gasket on the carb bowl, and the tors was only half way disconnected. fixed that and fired right up, rode it all day.
