I was looking in the online manuals here on how to remove the springs from the front shocks and didn't see it or missed it. It looks like the spring just needs to be compressed to remove the retainer but I'm not sure. Anyone ever taken their springs off their front shocks that could verify this for me? I'm wanting to paint them to match everything else.

you are right......all u do is compress the spring until you can remove the retainer, and then the spring should come right off

I've got a set of spring comressors to do it w/ but just wanted to make sure that's what I was looking for. Thanks for the info.

i wanted to do it on mine so i could paint them to match my plastics. but the thought of slipin up and having the spring rippin thru arm just scared the hell outta me lol.
