Regearing ?

I been wanting to change my gears ( sprockets ) on my 2006 blaster for sometime now , after doing alot of searching and found that most on here are running 14/40 gears , and noticed they also have alot of engine mods too .
My blaster is all stock and I was wondering how it would do with the 14/40 setup ? I do alot of trail riding , will this hurt my torque any at all ?

mine has 22 inch tires, and just an fmf pipe on it with a huge ass carb, and its not that bad on the low end

my blaster is stock besides reeds and a full dg pipe...i just switched my gearing to 14/40 over the weekend and its a helluva alot better than the 13 the low end is still there u cant tell much of a difference on the big end either just as long as u shift out at high rpm...
