Reed spacer block

2002 Blaster fresh overhaul. It has an aluminum reed spacer block that came with the parts when I got it. It pretty much has to be in the mix so the intake boot can reach the carb. Anyway should the spacer be between the jug and reed cage or between the reed cage and the carb adapter.

I Havent used one before, but it seems to me you would wanna keep the reeds in the same position relivate to the engine. I would say the block goes between the carb and reeds. Might wait for a more expirienced opinion tho. But thats my 2 cents.

if you put it in-between block and reeds you will increase bottom end if you put it between reeds and intake boot you will increase a little one top end. it has to do with the velocity changes to the air/fuel into the block

to be honest... the ONLY time i would run a spacer is for clearance issues with your carb hitting your clutch arm. best thing to do instead of a spacer is get better reeds. i have a spacer and the only time it made a difference is when i was running factory reeds. just piped and jetted. but now i have v force delta 2s and imo it gave me less power.
