rear brake disc wiggles?

I guess that says it all, the rear brake disc wiggles slightly on the axle. Is this normal or not? I don't know how to better describe it but obviously the rear brakes BARELY work (it is a blaster after all, lol).

yep its normal i believe the disc just "floats" on the axle

the disc on your 96 and 99, and up to 2002 all have a floating rear brake disc and a solid mounted caliper
one or the other has to float for even pad wear.
the 03+ with hydro brakes have a floating caliper/solid disc

Looks like I'll be putting new pads and cables on them both. Just got done reading the "how to"!
