pvl ignition system on my race kart.... coil generating power but not enuff to make a spark.. any ideas of what my problem is?

Is it a pull start or is it a kickstart or an electric start?
Your coil has 2 wires on it or it should. one is a power and one is a ground. You should be able to read close to 12 volts on the coil when the engine is cranking (so either its being kicked, pulled, or electrically started). If you dont, its your stator. If you do, its prolly your coil.

ya theres 2 wires into the coil.. im getting 12v out of the plug cap but not geting any spark????????
