i was wondering if race gas was ok to run in a stock blaster motor. would it even help at all? i only have boysen power reeds, dg exhaust, 270 main, kn filter no lid.

No benefit and could actually slightly decrease performance. The only benefit would be if you were running extremely hard in a harsh environment such as desert racing in high ambient temperatures fo a long period of time. Then you could run 50/50 race fuel and premium pump gas to help it run slightly cooler.

thanx guys that was the info i needed, my neighbor told me it would help but he doesnt ride and i didnt trust his advice. thanx again

The short over simplified version is that in a motor you want the fuel mixture to burn not explode. To hot a temperature, to much compression, to much timing will cause the mixture to explode. Race gas has a hirer octane, that means it burns slightly slower and is more resistant to 'exploding' , this allows you to use more compression, more advance etc.... these are the things that give you more power, the race gas just allows you to make more power without grenading the motor. Since it 'burns' slower it makes slightly less punch than lower octane pump gas which is the reason in can make less power when used in a motor that doesn't need it.

Is there a sticky on the fuel thing? it'd be helpful to know when you need to run a higher octane

a lot go into what octane to run.
like phargle said, timing, compression ratio, static compression, and more.

but i dont think there is a sticky about it.
