Hi I have a 02 blaster its rebuilt with vitos 240 and stroker crank. Msd coil new clutch vforce4 oversize carb full dgpipe. Bike screams starts first kick but 5 mins on the tracks will lock it up. Do I have to adjust my air/fuel screw of rejet or adjust my jets? I got a box with alternate jets for it it has race jets in it. My buddys dad rebuilt it for me after I got it he said to lower my barrel needle one clip to run more rich at top end but it only has one clip on it. Can anyone give me an idea how to fix this issue?

The carb is a definate over kill and way too large.

The DG system will perform reasonably well with the stock 26mm carb.

Do not expect a miracle with the DG as it performs just a little better than stock.

The main jet in the stock carb should be a #270 or bigger depending on your other mods.

The needle should be in the middle clip position.

The idle should be adjusted to specs, and a plug chop performed to verify your jetting.

If you ran it lean enough that it seized, the cylinder and piston are not going to magically repair themselves just because you jet it richer.

They're fine. It only once overheated to the point of shutoff ten minutes of cooling and I was fine. I've ridden it multiple times since. It has a ton of power. Super crisp throttle screams though every gear. Just cuts out at top so my motors fine. I just need proper jetting.

You've ridden it multiple times since? So you know you're lean and on the verge of BOOM but still ripping it.

It doesn't overheat unless I'm pinned consistently. A quick rip won't overheat it. U can tell when it starts over heating. Sticky gears funky idle. I have to ride it to adjust it. Haven't found the right adjustment.
