does anybody know if you can put a different kind of nut on the cylinder head, got some today but there not the exact same so was wondering if theres any difference ???:-/:-/

yeah there exactly the same thread, but people have said about the lock nuts that you cant use them for some reason dont know why and thats what i have at the moment but i dont see what harm it can do

They cannot be Nylock nuts as the tension will be diffeerent owing to the resistance of the nylon.

They cannot be lug nuts.

They must be of the same amount of thread as again the tensions will be different.

If they are identically similar you can use them with no problem.

Any changes in dimensions can/will upset the torque settings.

make sure to reuse the washer under the nut

Don't use nylock nuts. All you need are 8 x 1.25 metric nuts. You should be able to find them at Lowes, Home Depot, Napa, Advanced Auto or any hardware store. As Awk said, make sure you run washers under the nuts. I have them if you can't find them. Just call.
