alright when i had the same setup on my last blaster i had a 260 main with the airbox lid on. it seemed to run perfectly fine to me until the rod bearing got too much play and broke a ring.
on the bike i have now i have the 400 ex rear shock and the lid doesnt fit anymore so i went up to a 280 main jet. the only engine mods i have are boyseen power reeds a uni filterw/ no lid and the dynoport big volume pipe. also running an iridium plug.
now i know that everybody is gonna tell me to do a plug chop, but i dont have a big enough stretch at my disposal to run a test like that.
what i wanna know is what size jet should i be running? does 280 sound too small? i see that the toomey guys are getting a 310 main from toomey, should i be up around there too? i had it out for a few minutes around the yard but never got out of 2nd gear, seemed to be running good, but i dont wanna be running lan and blow it up. thanks for your help .
