im wanting to get porting eventually but im on .70 over right now and im wondering if i get it ported right now then it blows up and i 240 resleeve it will i have to get it re-ported for the new sleeve? what gets ported the sleeve or the cylinder? or both? always been confused on that

You are probably going to want to re-sleeve it first if you want to do a bbk because it will have different porting requirements. You could always re-sleeve it back to 66mm too.

essentially you port both sleeve and cylinder in a proper port job. if you just clean up the ports, you only really work the alloy cylinder to smooth it out, As soon as you touch the sleeve, you start to play with port timings. You better know what you are doing when you get into that territory.

I'm with Larry on this one. Do the DIY porting before you go drop a grand on a bbk with porting and a stroker, what's the worst that could happen?

Yeah i was gonna say.!!! That's 2$ above minimum here and living here is even more expensive.!!!!!
I understand your pops but i also understand where your coming from, the job market is tough right now. Specially for younger people... hang in there and don't give up, if your willing to work you will get something..

haha yep!!! but yeah i wish, i have to spend most of the money from that on car insurance, i been driving with no insurance for awhile and it to sketchy and if i wreck ill be screwed, im going to save 150 bucks outta it though and buy some nice riding boots

THAT ^^^ is putting it mildly. Because of your age your parents are also responsible and will lose just as much if not more. You really don't want to start out with a Fugged up life. X(

yeah i know i have heard it more times than i can count how everything will be screwed up if i wreck, but its either drive with no insurance or not go to school. i live out of district so no bus for me and my dad cant take me to school he leaves really way to early. i just need to find a job so i can afford it. but safeway was a no go. i got there and the positions were filled :(
