Question on LA 240 Sleeve Kit.

IF I buy the LA 240 sleeve kit is that all I have do is get it press in or is there other mods that have do be done?

If you're ported then you might need to match the ports, but idrk.

Thats what I was thinking so might just buy a stock cylinder and put it in that one then have it ported.

Do you guys think it will be cheaper just getting the LA sleeve Big bore kit? It will probly cost about the same after getting the cylinder resleeved.

You have to cut the old sleeve out and the bore the cylinder to fit the sleeve. Then raise the ports in the cylinder to match the sleeve; then at that point why do not complete port job; lots of work

Yea I was thinking of sending my top end to you and have you turn it into a 240 and get it port & polish. But that wont happen utill feburary. How much would that kit be?

it would probably be cheaper to order a whole new 240 cylinder from kennedy and sell yours to make some profit back

well the reason for doing it is because my cylinder is on its last bore. When I went to take the top end off I found out that it really doesnt have a port & polish the guy I bought it from liyed. Yea I'll probly just buy the big bore kit and have it port & polish and just keep my stock one for a back up.
