Ok this is just the first of many questions I will be asking as I try to tare down and change my crank seals and anything else that needs to be done. Right now I want to do little as I can to get it back to running b/c during the winter I plan on getting a 240 big bore kit from somewhere, so if I don't have to I don't want to rebuild top end right now. First question is to change crank seals does the motor have to come off the frame or can I leave it on and get to everything I need?

motor needs to be pressure washed on the bike first to get the crud off. then motor taken off the frame. the top end taken off then the clutch cover and then the flywheel cover the flywheel removed WITH a puller they arent that expensive. DO NOT BEAT ON THE CRANK END WITH A HAMMER!!! and in some cases you might need a case splitter. but i never have. you will need a seal driver kit (arent that expensive), a hammer, proper screwdrivers, sockets, and wrenches. takes about 30 mins to take off the bike.... if you bsing with someone. and idk bout 45 mins to an hour to tear down, if your good, and then 5-20 mins to replace the seals. with a yamaha i think you have to glue the case halves back together using yamabond im not sure bout this though. then put it all back together the same way it came apart and then tell your wallet your welcome for saving its life... shops charge sooo much to do this stuff

flywheel puller off ebay... 15 bucks plus 5 shipping... case splitter i dont know... never needed one
