Alright, so I've never owned a quad and I'm probably getting a blaster within a couple days/weeks. So what I'm wondering is... do you have to mix the gas before you put it in the tank? or is it oil-injected? 1999 by the way. And tell me anything else you think you should tell me so that I'll know when I get it :)

stock they are oil injected but id recommend as will others to remove it and premix your gas if it doesnt have a tank in the rear just premix 32.1 4 ounces of oil to 1 gallon of gas

^^ yep, if the oil tank is still on the left rear corner of the frame, buy an oil injection block off and premix your gas.

dont quote me but i believe its because of the plastic gear that runs the oil pump i think it strips or breaks and hence if this happens oil isnt gonna flow lol

why do u recommend to premix

because they have been known to go wrong an this means it wont be gettin any oil in the engine!! an wen they go wrong you wont know until its too late :( im not sayin thats the case for all some peoples hava ranfor ages
without problems

^^ exactly. If you premix then you know your engine is getting the proper amount of oil at all times

You for sure want to block the oil enjection pump off and pre mix your oil because when the pump fails your engine blows. Alot of members on here including me have flipped our front wheels around to make it wider. I would also do something about the bumber.

my last top end blew because my oil pump stopped pumping and it meted the piston rings to the piston
delete the outdated premix system and premix yourself
