problems with staying in first gear:(:(:(

HI ppl i have a prob with my 99 blaster. when u try to shift into first from neutral its like u gotta hold the shifter down to keep it out of neutral and in first. but if ur moving and u shift down into first it for the most part goes into first without a prob....... all the other gears work ok its jus first......i was doing some jumping the day before and i might have landed on the shifter with my foot but i dunno.......

dont use first... just kidding. maybe awk08 could give you some advice. there is a what would awk do thread...

sounds like the gear is getting worn, or could be a bent/worn shift fork

well if ur moving it for the most part doesnt do it unless ur going slow.......once u got it in first u can get on the throttle and its nt lik it dont got power in first it jus doesnt wanna go in and stay in from a stop or going slow.......if it was a worn gear when u really laid on it would u hear it grind??
