problem wit goin into gear

i blew my top end in my blaster so i had it sitting for a while. a few months later and i pull it out to get the top end done. but now it has a problem wit goin into gear and when it is in gear it still rolls. i dnt want to fix the top end and the bottom end be no good, pls help me

can you tell if its shifting through gears but just not engaging? it could be your star gear or shift fork, take off theclutch cover and inspect the lower left corner of stuff

do you know for sure if you can get it into neutral and or into 1st? So it rolls all the time in neutral and in a gear is what your saying?

yup i was thinkin a clutch problem

did you take the clutch cover off like the other member said. maybe its the shift star, or clutch. You can look at them both when the covers off.

I would just get her running and try it.I bet its the clutch just sticking and it will free up when u start it.
