Ok i replaced my stock intake with a pro design one and it wouldnt run so someone said you have to rejet so i did. with the stock intake i was running a 290 main jet and i went all the way up to a 360 and it still wont run, should i keep going up with the main jet? Also should i try changing the pilot jet too(its still stock). idk if it would help here are some specs on the motor, bored .025 over, dune/trail P/P, head milled .020, 1/2" reed spacer, V force 3 reeds, FMF pipe and can. Any help would be helpful.

if the only thing you changed was the intake it self that you should only have to go up maybe 1 or 2 jet sizes or maybe not at all dependind of how it was running befor rich or lean if it was rich you shouldnt have to change the jet are you sure you dont have any air leak and did you get the right intake to go with the vforce reeds

i had a pro design intake manifold and it would not work with my v3 because of the the metal devider inside the pro design intake manifold. i got a intake from vitos and it worked just fine.

like 98 blaster said it may not be working with your reeds thats what it sounds like to me put it back the way it was an see how it is running

thats what i thought too. i dont know when i bought it they said it was for the v force reeds. on the pro design intake for the v forces do you have to take that plastic intake thing out of the reeds for the intake to fit.

also if you do use your stock intake you will have to do a little work to it. your v3 should have came with some instructions and some hardware. their is a angled tab on the inside of the stock intake that needs to be trimed off for the v3 to work.

yea i did all that and it worked great with my stock one but this pro design one the plastic piece wont fit into so i took it out thinking that it was just in there for the stock intake.... would this mean they sent me the wrong intake??

i know pro design makes an intake specificly for the vforce cage not sure what it looks like though but im running a duncan pyramid valve with a pro design intake but duncan said it will work fine just have to knock the air diverter out

Ok so tonight i changed it back to the stock intake. when i took it apart i saw one of the reeds came out of the reed block. could this be why it ran like sh*t with the pro design intake???
