prices of vf3's and clutch basket????

Thats about the best you are going to find.I run the same PE basket with a barnett clutch kit and a hydro clutch and they have held up and performed great.I got my vf3's off another member for $45 or $50 (can't remember exactly) and it had one bad petal so I had to order a replacement set at $45.It was still cheaper and I have 3 spare petals now.I like the path you are on bro with the blasty,it will be woken up in no time.

yeah i new all last summer this was the path i was taking, adding parts as $$ allowed and when deals came by, did the f7 pipe, now gotta get the intake caught up, got the cfm aibox and uni pod for in it, got a 34mm keihin sittin here waitin for the SMS intake i ordered to get here, then the vf3's, gonna get it runnin like that, then sending the cylinder/head to flotek soon after, then may add a hot shot cdi rev box and msr monster coil, so yeah i think it's gonna get woken up a bit

Noob question... and not to thread-jack: What's the advantage to different reeds?

you add a pipe to get the exhaust out quicker, you add a AM filter/airbox, bigger carb to flow more air/fuel into the motor, you port the cylinder to allow more a/f to flow, ya gotta do the reeds also to allow more flow in,
if ya do one part (pipe and/or filter) it'll help a little, if ya do all the parts that affect flow, it'll help alot

BTW...gonna have these "aktive" reeds and cage for sale soon, rebuilt carb and a bunch of jets too

kinda like what mr. myagi said in the karate kid...."flow in, flow out"
oh wait, he was talkin 'bout waxing his eggroll, hahahaaaa
