I am a little confused and not sure if something is wrong. I rebuilt my stock motor and put the 240 kit on and 3 mil stroker crank. I ran 2 tanks of gas before really getting on tje throttle hard to ensure break in time. I be getting on the throttle pretty hard the last couple days and was pretty sure powerband was kickin in good. I was riding sunday and was on the throttle hard and just when i thought i had it revved out in fourth and was getting ready to shift it opened up like crazy. Have i been mistaken thinki.g that powerband has been kickin in all along and it just now really kicked in
 
If it were me I might do another leak down test. I can think of no other reason it would suddenly seem like a different engine. Or jet might have been plugged and now is not. Maybe something hinky with throttle cable?
 
was it noticeably cooler when it felt stronger ?

time for a leakdown test and get that jetting correct. starting from the bottom and work up...float height, airscrew/pilot, needle, then plug chops for the main
 
k&n makes a power lid to cover the box, its just another filter, it bolts right on and will keep alot of stuff out and help with your a/f getting dirty all the time. we ride dirt roads alot and they really helped, we had to constantly clean filters and with those we didnt have to do it as much, though itll need to be cleaned out.
