it will work right after you do the correct break in for the fresh rebuilld, boring the engine to .40 you will feel no difference in power than before

After any rebuild you need to leak test, heat cycle, re tension the head and jug bolts.

Then ride no more than 3/4 throttle for about 2 tanks of gas.

The power gain will not be noticable with a 40 over as it only adds under 2ccs of displacnment.

The full power is available after the heat cycles but not advisable to use before break in.
