Its a very expensive way of "painting"
Your going to need an over, powder, a spray booth and a gun. That gun you see in the video is not a cheap hundred dollar gun. The gun I use at work is $5,000. Its not anything cheap but its definitely a cool thing to do. If you have any questions I could answer just about every one. I work at a PC shop so just LMK if you have an questions.

Thats just the gun. The video you posted... see the box with the lights? It monitors charge and moisture. You get what you pay for. If you bought that gun you still need powder, the "box" a spray booth an oven. Depending on what you want to do, your not going to be able to fit everything in a regular conventional oven. DONT EVER USE THE OVEN YOU USE TO BAKE TO PC!

lol^^ thanks for the comments guys.. so anyone know how get a frame to look like it just came from the yamaha factory ? lol

you should be wearing gloves. the oils from your hand can "explode" when in the oven and f*ck up the PC job.

you could just paint it. get some automotive paint and a paint gun. it will look a little nicer than spray can. its not as finicky as PC you can clean it prime it spray and it hang it over a space heater and it will bake on well enough to use and still look nice. and it will be alot lot cheaper

I got one for you. Can you clear powder coat chrome?

yeah if your on a budget like i was you could just use a good automotive paint. w/ quite a few coats of clear to protect it.

Good question. Chrome is applied just like PC. It is charged and then dipped. When PC'ing chrome to a color, you have to scuff it/blast it (chrome) just to ruff it up so the PC will stick. I know you can PC clear polished aluminum, but I'm not too sure about chrome. Im going to say that you can though. Ill have to ask my boss though!
