Port work

Sorry, I just hate it when people make leading comments, just looking to stir the pot. I just want specifics if he's going to make comments like that. He's obviously got something in mind.

Pitboss would not now, he told me he has never ported a engine or dyno tested a engine. So all his claims mean nothing. He does guess work at the best.
He claims 50hp is not possible, not sure what world he is living in
A 244cc two cycle engine better make 50hp or the set up is jacked up
A small bore blaster with a +3 or 60mil crank will make 6 more HP on the bottom end, two more in the middle and no more on top.
The Big bore kit the love the 3 mil stroke

Get your facts straight before you make a statement. I have ported an engine, but I choose not to since finding out that there are others out there can do it better. I have dynoed many motors, not here, but at the GT Thunder facility. I have sent my engines along with many others that I have had built by others over the years. They test many different factory race teams motors.

I still say that you can not produce a blaster engine with 50 rear wheel horse power that is reliable. If YOU can, you are wasting your talents tinkering with these. There is a place for you in the Indy car industry.

Sounds like a good honest post
I do like like working on these engines and until 60 plus hp on race fuel is proven, I will keep going. I think 60hp is right around the corner with Mat Shearer building a new pipe.
The Indy car industry is awesome to say the least.

who worse than straight from the maker to be honest. I'm not saying the stroker is bad at all, infact a very good mod. But I'm sure even if it were junk Vito's would try to make it sound like the best thing since sliced bread. But I'm not going to agree with Vito's claimed gains from their products.

so a stroker cranks doesn't add any power, bwtn you and pitboss thats what your saying?

wow gotta love the bickering.....you will gain from the stroker pm freek he runs one and im sure he can explain the gains that he has felt running a stroker and then you can get away from the bickering and get a strait answer

X2 on that some good adviseI:I

i know what they add in hp and what can be expected from adding one, just seems every time pitboss posts its about how the +3 stroker crank is junk or that is doesn't do what it should and then the people that are new to modding or dont know about engines that much read this crap and dont know what to think because of a couple of morons

true that..............pm blasterfreek30I:I

Every builder has they own point of view. You need to talk to people that have it done, get a couple opinions from them and make your own decesion bro based on what they told you.

fioz600r is right dont take one opinion gather all the info you can. Just remember if you are going to run a stroker crank the porting has to be matched for it. I know from past experience alot of people buy somthing like this with the thought that by just installing this one part that the hp will go up but remember the manufacture has spent years making the engine run the way it dose. Every part has a spacific design change one part and it changes the hole mathematics of how your engine runs.

from the dyno
Using the 3mil crank on a small bore
6hp on the bottom
1 maybe 2 in the middle range
0 on the top
The BB kits love the 3 and 4mil set up
The power is added through out the curve

I think I may have been missunderstood. I'm not saying the stroker crank is a bad modification at all. I said it is in fact a good mod and that it adds power to the bottom and mid. It also allows the engine builder to get a little more aggressive with the portwork while still maintaining a rideable power curve. My point in my previous post is that if you think the manufacturer of aftermarket parts is the best source of information on what that part can offer you are mistaken. There are not any major B-S parts for the blaster that come to mind. A perfect example of missleading manufacturers in our industry would be the masses of boost bottles sold for banshee's over the years, which do nothing beneficial...infact they cause problems as they will crack the intakes and cause air leaks. But, the manufacturers of them claim they improve hp and throttle response. I appologize for posting non blaster stuff on here but it was the best example I could think of about misleading the customer.

Easy there Wildcard, you have to realize that there are those that won't read a post before shooting off their mouth. The question had been answered many times before including you,,,but wait, I'm just a moron.
