i am having a problem with my blaster it has always started first or second crank with the exception of a couple of itmes when the carb needed cleaned. My son rode it all day a week ago. It would't start after all day of riding. i replaced the spark plug and it fired. But then it would not start again. Replaced plug. i noticed some gas coming out of carb hose so i cleaned it and repalced the Needle Valve. Gas quit coming out and it still will not start. Tried another spark plug, no luck. I noticed it kicks really easy now it seems like there is not much pressure when i kick it. I asked him if he was riding it wide open, he said yes they were going down the road wide open for a while. Do I need rings? What is wrong? Please Help

It sounds like it could have been running lean and fried the piston.

I think you need to take the pipe off and look up the exhaust port for piston and ring damage.

A leak down test would be a good thing to do before you pull the head and jug off.

You may need to investigate if the jetting is correct.
