I made a new thread and the clutch plates won't move when I engage it and when I adjust it it won't move at all

The clutch plates are most likely not in the correct order, they must be staggered 60 degrees from the last installed plate. There are marks/tabs on each clutch plate to use for s guide for staggering them. I'm betting that is your problem if your clutch lever is tight and the clutch plates arnt moving/engaging.

Have you adjusted the clutch cable at the lever on your handle bars ? Also you may have to remove both push rods and the ball then re-install them. I don't really know why but one time I had a similiar problem with my clutch, finally I decided to remove the push rods and push rod ball, reinstalled everything and my clutch worked.

Is it not "engageing", in other words the crank is not turning the sprocket?
Or is it not "disengageing", in other words sprocket still turns when clutch lever is pulled?
Is this a static/ bench test or is engine running?
Is this a brand new clutch or a used one that previously worked?
If it is new, did you soak the fibers?
Is the clutch arm in pic not excessivly worn where it meets push rod?
Push rod was out of shaft when you installed arm?
Arm had full spring tension (retracted) when rod installed?
Ball is in place?

You do realize that the pressure plate moves very little when clutch lever is pulled?

All else fails, start over, completely dissasemble the clutch, assemble it EXACTLY how the manual states. Line the dots up, offset plates, install pressure plate correctly. There has to be something simple you missed.

BTW, your backwards tires bugg me too8-|:-/

I posted a video on how to install the clutch plates and adjust the clutch in your last thread. You had to of missed something in the video, or got up to take a leak and didnt pause it.

Here is the link again. Turn on your volume, he even talks you through it step by step and explains why hes doing what.
Also, the picture you included isnt of the arrow on the END of the clutch actuator rod/lever that aligns with a mark near the middle of the cases hope this helps some.

P.S I took this pictures from a thread Slickerthanyou posted on in 2010 about a similar issue, so id like to say thank you to slickerthanyou for posting these pictures.

I guess I cant help ya much more sadly without getting a ton more information from you.
Can we get you to answer Larry's questions

initially whathappen was theactuator lever came out when i was taking the engine out.. so i was told to put it back in i would have to take out the rod in the back the ball and the other rod .. i did that put the lever in with the spring it moved freely without the rodsand ball in .. then i put the long rod in first then the ball then the second rod .. the lever still moved freelyi began to adjust it like the videos ipulled the clutch in so the arrow was pointing kinda toward the front of the engine i began to screw the rod so the arrow would face the middle of the cases i did that and itll face that way but there will beno clutch it wont move itll just stay there im confused and fed up I NEED HELP

So let me get this straight hahah, trying to help ya.

When you adjust your clutch actuator lever so that the arrow on the end of the actuator aligns with the arrow on the case your clutch doesnt move at all when you pull the clutch lever.

This to me sounds like its simply not adjusted correctly, as its a pretty basic push rod setup, no magic here.
Can I get you to try a couple things for me.
1. Turn your clutch rod adjustment all the way in, does it move your clutch pressure plate. ( keep in mind its not going to move much, we are talking a couple pieces of paper thickness here )
2. If you get it to move ever so slightly, turn the adjusting rod back out just till it releases. ( You see the clutch move back in )
3. Now make sure your clutch cable is attached to the cylinder to keep the cable in place so it actually does something when you pull the clutch lever other then slide the casing up and down.
4. Post back here with your results and I will try and get this solved for you if I can. I wish I lived closer id happily swing by your house and help you get this squared away for a cold beer.

thank you i wish someone would could come and help im going crazy but the egnine is not in the quad i have it on my bench im gonna try and tave a video of me installing it and see if im doing somethingwrong and also is there a certain way the lever has to go in cause it seems like it could go in three different ways which way should the arrow point when just putting the lever on the cases with no rods
