pilot jet question

hi nead help with my
Keihin carb i put pilot jet in size 48 and when i tryed to tune for highest idle the air screw is only 1/4 turn out do i nead to go up or down a size to acheive 1 1/2 to 2 turns out

If you are getting too much air at 1/4 turn you need a larger jet, or have an air leak somewhere.

thank you for info made my own leak down tester checked for leaks aok so i will go up a size want to put up pic ov tester dont know how to put up pics

what size carb do you have?

Im pretty sure that my pwk28 has a 52 pilot jet.
