the paint on the air cooling fins on my engine are getting kinda worn, has anyone here ever repainted the top? what do you reccomend i do?

if yourplanning on tkeing it apart the best way is to spray them and then put them in your oven on 150 for about 3 or 4 hours .thats what we do to harleys and the paints stays on for ever

I'm sure there are many opinions on this, but here goes.

Unless you are painting an exhaust component on this motor, there is no need to use hi temp paint. tekwando's idea works great.

When I powdercoat cylinders such as the blaster (or harleys), i use regular temp powder and it holds up perfectly.

rugular temp powder does work good.but he didnt say he wanted to powder coat he was talking about paint thats why i didnt say anything

Also, if you are concerned about the paint being to thick on the fins, you could use radiator paint (which is thinner). I have only seen it in black.
