ok so i bought a blaster

ok i bought a 200 yamaha blaster, idk what model it is, needs new piston and rings and bord 6 over, well idk what model it is, can someone please help me, it has disc brakes on the front, and i know they started the disc brakes on the front 2003 and up, but the headlight is on the handlebars and the key switch is on the handle bars, i thought 2003 and up they put the key switch on the right side and the headlight was in the plastic on the front

You never can tell with out the frame #. People mix and match plastic, hoods, brakes. That whats cool about a blaster.
It sounds like you have an older 88-02 model that someone has upgraded with 03- disk brakes.
If you want to know to see what piston and rings you need, they are all the same.

well i was told the boy my cousin got it from totaled it when he was ridin a wheelie his leg went down the wheelie bar and he wrecked it and broke his leg, i told the woman where i ordered my parts that it had disc brakes on the front and she was like well its a 2003 and up, which i already knew 2003 and up have disc on the front, but i really dont know what model it is, i can only find numbers on the motor

Well from the pic I can tell you it has the older 88-02 headlight.

well guys i fount the serial numbers finally on the frame, they painted over them but i was able to actually see them, its a 92 model haha

200 dollars, it had water in the top head but dont think the water was in there long enough to hurt anything, i ordered the parts last week, its getting bord 6 over, and what are bead locks lol, and yea it has hydraulic disc brakes on the back too, my cousin has an 89 and it has cable all the way around

thats a good deal.. u will love the hydro brakes lol over the cable style .. o rear bead lock rims, it kinda looks like they are but it could be just some dings in the paint..

the boy that had the blaster before me must have put a little bit on money in it to have fluid disc brakes all the way around it, and its got a ac front bumper

you should make it a project bike, or even just spray paint the frame of something, make it look all nice, good find for 200 bucks

nice find! could be a real nice quad with a little paint and some elbow grease. Beadlocks are what I have on the rear of my quad.

what color do you think i should paint it, i have 8 inch and 9 inch hubs for it, the razr tires are bald they fit the 9 inch hub, i have the original tires on the back of it right now, one tire has 3 plugs in it, the front tires are razr they are almost new

idk i like the yellow and black thing going on, i would like to paint the frame orange, then green fenders with orange flames on them
