Which seal would be causing this? Behind the stator? I think this also may be the reason its bogging until high rpm-oil in the flywheel until it slings off.
The seal is behind the flywheel. You have to pull the flywheel off and maybe the stator and it will be that side crank seal. Is it gearbox oil or premix?
Tranny oil. If I just crank it and let it idle for the first time that day, it won't start leaking into that side until i ride it. I have replaced the crank seal behind the main drive gear and the oil seal behind the drive sprocket.
There is a crank seal behind the flywheel. But if you are getting gear oil on the stator side then you should check to see if you have any cracks in the cases or your seal around the two cases halves might be leaking. Or something went wrong when you replased the clutch side crank seal.
