oil block off questions

thats exactly what ive done; removed the oil tank, clipped the thicker hose and plugged it with a bolt. Ive had no problems at all and have had it done a while now. I am eventualy going to take the oil pump gear out of the pump so it no longer "pumps" but what me and you have done right now is perfectly fine.

cool, do I have to do anything with the small hose leading from the case cover to the carb?

dtdyno.com has a block off kit for 22.00, now where your homemade set up will last for awhile, maybe even the life of the bike, but for 22.00 bucks why not do it the right way, remove the pump, etc. I'm not bashing on the way people do things-just that with something like oil injection, removing it properly could save you some serious problems in the future.

yes you need to block the small line to the carb off too! and i would silocone around the hoses going into the pump cover instead of putting screws in them, and i would make sure the hose ends are down inside the pump cover just to better prevent dirt from getting in!

Just pull the gear out of the pump. It will not hurt a thing the pump does not even weigh half a pound (you will never notice the weight) so just pull the gear and don't waste your money on the kit.

if you dont seal the hose going into the carb you will draw extra air into the carb and run leaner... just buy the kit its only 22 bucks and your better off it only takes like 30minutes and transmission probally needs the fluid change anyways
