The Yamaha Manual calls for 93 so thats what i run....in the summer i ran 110 (wasted money) but now i run 93...im thinking of maybe taking a gallon of 110 and mixing it with the 4 gallons of 93...would prolly raise the octane level a couple points....
nah not really,it would just ballance out,plus u dont realla wanna mix fuels. Mixing fuels is pretty bad since u dont know the additives in each fuel. Kinda like mixing a batch of 50:1 and 32:1 together..wont help and geting ur blasty on that might do some damage...just my opinion.
ill be running 116 oct with 6 percent oxygen......a little overkill yes......but the high oxy percentage will make the biggest diffrence
I mix 94 and 110 in my car all the time. It does raise the octane rating. I don't see how it could damage it or cause any problems. If it did then don't you think that there would be alot of messed up cars out there seeing as how people rarely fill up with the same brand of gas all the time.
a quad and a car are 2 diffrent machines...cars arent as picky as quads,you dont have to worry about correct jetting and adding Pre-mix. Cars are hogs basically...quads,are "divas" and picky. When its used to a fuel it rarley stays the same when changed.
ask anybody with a car that needs high octane gas if its not picky. jetting most certaintly matters. a/f ratio is just as important in a car as in a quad or any other internal combustion engine. all im saying is it's perfectly ok to mix gas with a few exceptions.
