hey everybody, my title basically says it all. i just rebuilt my motor but i cant find the problem to the no spark. before i rebuilt it i ran just fine good spark and everything. but now i cant get any little speck of energy. i bought a new cdi box thinking it went bad on me, but still.... u guessed it. no spark. i checked everything that i could think of electrically. but i do wonder, the four wires that are from the stator that hook up to the wiring harness, how many of those four are supposed to have power going through them???? please help thanks :)

just last night I was re-reading the section in the chilton (or is it haynes) manual where they cover testing the three coils on the stator. I think they are pulser/pick up coil, lighting coil and charge coil. Each one has it's own two colored wire plus the common ground. Each one has a specific resistance spec and you can test each one seperatly with a meter.

I had a weak spark once and found one of the coils off, and once I got a new one the spark was fine.

If you're not good with meters and testing stuff, now's your chance to learn! It's a great feeling when you figure something like this out!
