my 03 blaster has no power band it has 14/39 gears i think always ran high test pump gas no ethanol with amsoil saber premix 80:1 ported jug reeds and played with jets but still doesnt have a "POWER BAND" is it becuase the pipe or something i just want a powerband what should i do

the piston is all id worry about the crank is geting oil thats what your puting that bellray 80w sh*t in for the injector oil is for the topend..

na it wont fry right away, it will run a bit and eventually get really hot, the rings will stick to the piston, causing piston slap, the piston tearing up the cylinder from slapping, meanwhile the crank bearings heating up and BAM the piston gets so f'd up it stauls out and wont start again... if your lucky the main bearings will be fine just need piston/rings and wristpin bearing/bore job.. it happened to me before..lol

sorry, your wrong man the crank/piston is all lubed by the premix of oil and gas... the tranny oil is just that, tranny only

i was gonna say that but didnt feel like going through all the bs..lol, im too tired tonight.lol..if your crank or cylinder is getting lubed by the 80 or 90 weight then you have a bad wet side crank seal !!!

80:1 pleaseeeeeee tell me your joking????? my damn single rpm no throttle adjustment snow thrower ran 50:1... maybe you have your ratios confuests? maybe your running 8oz oil to 2 gallons of gas? plaase tell me thats what it is..

BTW on that 250r... run it 32:1 with pro honda hp2.. you will thank me later

i dont have a 250r..lol i was at the honda shop today getting some blaster jets and was checking out the old atc's they have, there all original and sweet... they have a trx250r there to, they want 2900 for it, they all have original tires and all the stickers are factory

well the new synthetics (particulary amsoil)preach that yo u can get away with these absurd ratios becuase of their amazing lubrication properties their product offers and some have even warded off frying their topends by running these recommended ratios for extended periods of time and while that ma yhave worked for them it doesnt change the fact that more premix oil always equals less friction and more lubrication,i have never seen an engine destroyed by running too much premix but i have seen the opposite ! .......... amsoil = snake oil
