I have a 97 that ran fine when I put it away in the fall and now it won't run. Starts when I spray some ether in the airfilter then dies. What should the compression be? What else should I look for?
you did drain the gas and put freshies in didn't you?
some people don't realize that gas goes bad. i wouldn't keep run gas that's more than 60 days old unless it was treated when it was fresh.
if that's not the prob, then put a little bit of b12 chemtool in the tank and kick her a couple times to flood the carb w/ it. and let it sit overnight.
did you check for spark?
another thing to check is make sure a bird or squirrel didn't crawl into your pipe and die or something!

Good Spark and compression. Pulled the carb and cleaned it. Put in fresh fuel and it fired right up! Thanks. Now for a pipe and silencer.
