Plastic welder! Always wanted to try that, we have a couple 500gal tanks leaking and it was cheaper to get this setupw/ air compressor, and a bottle of nitrogen for HDPE and LDPE, than to replace the tanks!

Gonna play tomorrow and see what kind of finishing I can get, Thinking fix broken fenders, fix my broken chain cover? Any thing plastic! No thinner than a fender however.

I havent hooked up the regulator or anything yet, comes with nice tool box too!

Any plastic welders out there???

I have one of those units... I have NEVER been able to get it to work exactly right. It either burns through and smokes the plastic or beads the material up on top of the cracks.

The final product is not as flexible as the material the fenders are made out of. The "filler rod" is fairly hard material IIRC.

I've only seen the setups where you have to take a sauder iron and a long white stick of plastic and do it. but it looks real nice cool keep us updated

Honestly I have done several jobs with a torch in a vice for extra hands and a smashed coat hanger. I have done pump covers and even repaired the shop rtv900 kubota front fender assembly. Getting a good temp is difficult. It is not like welding where you penetrate both sides and stitch them togather. It is more like scabbing the pieces back in place. The repair is never going to be as strong and the cast piece. Can you just glass your tanks? Let us know how the repairs go.

is that your reward for the over extended job in blairsville ????
they must have sensed you getting grumpy, and figured a new toy would pacify you ??? hahahaaaa
