Got some new sprockets to install.. I cant wait to get them on but im going to have to wait till i get some time and a place to do it.. I picked up a 15T front sprocket and a 37T rear.. I got me a 87 warrior/banshee hub which is a 4 bolt hub and you can run down to a 36T with that hub. I also have a 2" swingarm extension to bolt on and to tie it all up i got some NON-Oring chain to help with the clearance with the 15T up front..

Im tired of shifting through all the gears within seconds and im trying to get the gears to last a little longer.. ONce it get it done we will see how it runs..

using the gearing calculator it says it should hit about 75MPH top speed.. :D

what size tires are you running? What kind of riding to you do? 15x37 seems a little tall.

Wow! Hope your putting out a lot of power to run them gears. I have a feeling your going to be kicking yourself in the ass for going with that setup.

It wont be as bad as you think.. My motor is built up and this 14/40 is not suffice.. It blows through the gears fast.. My riding style is all mixed.. Trails, fields, roads, track, etc..

Isn't 15/37 gears- if ya drop three in the back that's like loosing 1 up front or is it gaining one up front? so is that equal to 16/40? or 14/40?

With all them riding styles and only 15/37 sprockets, you had better buy yourself a pair of boots with two left boots, cos you are going to do one hell of a lot of shifting trying to keep on the pipe.

By far the better option is to have a couple of sets of sprockets and chains and swap them in for dirrerent riding styles.

With 20" tyres 15/37 sprockets, it is going to take a lot of winding up in 6th gear to get to top speed, no matter how powerfull your motor is.

My 14/40 is way to low for me on my 18" tires. If I drag race I have to start in 3rd gear, and 1st gear is 99% useless. If I start in second I literally can not shift fast enough into 3rd and 4th. I got a 38T rear sprocket that I will be putting on now. 15/37 does sound pretty high with 20" tires though. Let us know how it goes.

i have a bunch of sprockets now..

Front 13,14,15
Rear 40,38,37

I have alot to play with to get what i want but im starting with 15/37.. just like jetting.. Start high and work you way down..

So how many chains do you have , because each combination you run calls for a matching chain.

Don't fall into the trap by mixing chains and sprockets, a very costly exercise IMHO.

If a chain comes off, or breaks, running a 15 front, the case is going to suffer some major trauma.

Never, Never, Never, Never, legnthen a chain using extra unmatched links and joiners, case death makers.

Un matched sprockets wear unevenly and stretch chains, stretched chains then break.

With all those combinations you need 18 chains. + 3 of each of the sprockets.

Gets real complicated after you think about it.
