I am still waiting on my gaskets but i did get my seals and went ahead and installed them.Upon doing so i applied a little dab of grease to all the seals prior to installing them.I put the crank seals in first and prior to installing them there was no drag on the motor at all the crank spun freely.after i installed them theres a drag on the crank.I checked to see if they seated properly and drove in straight and they did i used a socket to put them im and know they went in straight.

Theyre moose seals and ive used them in my other build but i just dont recall if i had a slight drag while they were new or not.

Is this common with new seals or should there be no drag on the crank after the seals?I lubed them all up so i know that isnt it.

There is bound to be a little grab with new seals, but only just noticable.

If it is grabbing more than you think it shoud, you may have bumped the flywheel side seal in too far, and it could be touching the bearing.

Be sure your crank is centered in the bottom end but yeah you will feel some drag from them. It's should not be much.
