Hello everyone
I just got my first Blaster about a week ago it is a 02 and all stock.
I have a few questions. First what baskc things should I do to it besides spark plug, air filter and cleaning the carb. Its starts and runs fine but it seems like when your running it through the gears when you release the clutch it takes a second or two to really kick into gear. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated thanks

really weak clutch springs??? if their shot it will take a minute for it to fully engage the disks. Or is it like u shift and it doesnt seem to jump the gears correctly???

If im shifting its like ill give it full throttle and its like it goes into gear fine but it take a second to fully get through the gear sorry its hard to explain

Also there is oil deposits around the exhaust were it bolts to the head is that normal>

the exhaust sounds like a bad gasket from the manifold to the head. and it definitely sounds like bad clutch springs with ur problem. but before u go buying a clutch kit buy try to use the adjuster on the lever and let it go all the way slack and then tighten it to the point where the slack is out of the cable and hardly pulling on the springs. if that doesn't work u most likely need a clutch kit.
