Hey everyone new to this site, just bought my second Blaster used to have a 94 Blaster years ago. I just got a 98 Blaster that was partially disassembled a couple days ago, guy said it ran then sat for like 6months and when he started it it didnt like idle right, but he didnt seem that bright either.....anyways the carb and all the electronics were off of it upon arrival, i cleaned the carb out and put everything back together tried kickin it over without the gas tank on with spraying a lil starting fluid in it just to here it fire up first, wasnt even trying to fire but seems to have great compression, so then i pull the plug out to check for spark, first hand kick over it shot a blue spark, then every hand kick after that first one nothing, tried putting the plug back in and still nothing, what could be wrong or of went wrong here?

Thanks Matt

i unplugged all the tors stuff and spark is back, so before kicking it over i pushed the throttle open and sprayed some starting fluid in it and tryed kickin it over and still didnt start up, pulled the plug back out and still has spark

it shouldnt need fuel or oil in the reservoir just to start up off of startin fluid for a second should it? its got spark now with all the TORS stuff unplugged, but is still not firing

i think it has too weak of spark right now, its barely showing any spark and its barely doing anything when i kick it over on the multimeter testing for power on the coil

so playing around i tryed opening up the spark plug some and stuck it and it tried to fire without the tank on so i put the tank on and turn on the gas and a couple kicks and it was running but not wanting to idle, rode to the end of the driveway went to turn around and it died, but started back up to go back to the garage and then died again and wouldnt start back up

k its now to where i can get it started (pain in the butt) but i have to keep giving it gas, it will no idle, what could be the problem? and yes i have all the tors stuff unplugged

ok 1st my wont idle without the tors so plug that back in an is long as u give it throlttle when u start it , then it should idle , if that doesnt work dont make a workout for yourself drop gas right into the cyl , take out the plug an pour a little gas in put the plug back in and kick it, i had the same problems i rebuilt my carb and droped gas in , now with the tors plugged in 2 kicks with the choke on , pm ill send u my cell number an try and help

ps u can adjust ur throttle real low and at the acutally throttle adjust it so its off the pin so the tors wont turn it off, if the gas is old buy 93 octane an double mix the oil about 50:1 , also your tors has a throttle adjustment the big screw on the top and your carb adjustment on the chocke side should be about 1 1/2 turn out from tight
