new gasket?

i dont have speakers so i cant hear it, but im assuming i cant unless i torch it, what if i dont take it all the way off? like just leave it stuck onto the cylinder head? ive took it off with out putting on a new one before? and its air tight?
it has to be annealed = heating it until it turns cherry red the whole way around like the video shows, allow it to self cool and brush any scaling off.

yea i just hate ordering stuff online since i have no debit or credit cards currently. ill probally buy a torch since i will most likely need it for other stuff anyways
id buy a torch to. i use mine for alot of things. fire is your friend if your not a dumbassssI:I
Besides blowing sh*t up I do ALOT of degreasing (Alot of old cars around my house) loosen stuff, expanding rubber, etc
A torch is a must in every workshop and can be put to a myriad of uses, but never in my workshop will it be used to refurbish a copper head gasket, the risk is far too great to be cost effective.
I think the real question here is WHY do you want to take head off?
