What's up guys?

Just picked up my first sport ATV, 01 Blaster. It's in pretty good shape, runs perfect, starts up with ease. Paid $800, decent deal?

I already have an 05 Kodiak 450 (just rebuilt, then blew a hg...:-/ )

Few things:

The front wheels are flipped, I know the trick. However one has more negative camber than the other, not sure what's bent.

The brakes suck, but you all know that lol. Where can I get full hydraulic brakes?

What polished wheels would you recommend? Tires as well.

Different front or rear sprocket for a little higher top speed?

nice blaster man looks pretty good. I just fixed that exact same thing on my cousins blaster. It was a bent spindle. I got the whole spindle and brake assembly for like 30bux on ebay pretty ez to change if you have a small two jaw puller. can be done without it though

nice lookin bike dude! and welcome to the forum!

the camber problem might be a bent ball joint. take your time and compare and inspect everything for safety

there is a set of hydrolic brakes on ebay right now. anything from a 03 newer models is hydrolic. you can also get some spindles from a member or ebay his name is norman420 and then you can use banshee hubs and brakes

dunno about the rims or tires it realy depends what kind of riding you do

its easier to get a 14 front sprocket for more speeeeeeed!!

So the Banshee stuff is totally different?

What is everything I would need for hydraulic brakes up front with spindles, and ball joints, etc? I would also like a hydraulic rear setup too.

Nice blaster you came to the right place if you ever need help don't be afraid one of our proud members will be sure to help you have fun and post pics we love pics.

the spindles are different on your year. once you get the right spindles you can get the hubs and brakes to bolt up from a banshee. the rear you would need a 03+ carrier and a master cylinder and caliper. or a member her awk08 can make you a custom setup that i hear works really well that will bolt up to what you already have in the rear.

Found the spindles.

Which brakes are best to use with the spindles?

Also, what size front sprocket for a higher top speed?

Would a 15 tooth one be too much?

Welcome, dude!

IMO, yes. A 15T front sprocket puts the chain dangerously close to your engine cases and unless you've got lots of internal engine work, there isn't enough power on tap to justify use of a 15T front. Some people have run 15T front sprockets, but I wouldn't risk it. In fact, I can't put one on my Blaster because it would hit my TM Designworks chain slider.

Put on a 14T front sprocket with your stock 40T rear sprocket, and you'll feel a difference. My .02.

On the brakes, you can EITHER "build your own" front hydro setup using the Norman 420 wheel spindles + hubs, rotors, and calipers from a Banshee + a master cylinder from...whatever...lol...OR you can buy a complete front brake setup from a 2003 + Blaster and bolt the whole thing right into place. No piecing anything together needed. Hope that clears some questions up. I:I

In my opinion, both ways of getting front hydro brakes work equally well. It really boils down to parts availibility and how much you want to (or can) spend on the project. Whichever way you go, just be sure to bleed it well and install some new pads before putting the new system to the test.

Alright, I'm going go get the spindles from the member on here/ebay, I have a set of hubs I believe, and what master and lines should I get?

Should I do ball joints and wheels bearings awhile?
