Alright ive been riding 4 wheelers/ dirtbikes for a while now but never really got into them so im kinda new at some of this stuff, i recently bought a 90' 200cc blaster and it still has the stock exhaust system on it and i need to replace but i have no idea what i should get, it seems like everyone is going with the fmf fatty stuff, so i think ill just got with that exhaust but what kind of silencer should i get?

well u should also look into, where u want ur power do u like low range ,mid range, or top end , every type is deferent, should also look into procircuit

hmmm ok so say i want mid range power band what should i go with? and srry if this is a stupid question but like i said im new at this stuff, but does a new exhaust make a huge diff? cuz my friend came over today and we race on a straight away in my woods he has a honda trx250ex and it kept stayed right with my blaster, and idk just seems like mine should be faster.

a performance exhaust is THE BEST upgrade you can do to your blaster. For some reason performance exhaust's add ALOT of power to a blaster, it wakes your blaster right up.

Anyways it also depends on how much money your willing to put down on the exhaust. Alot of people have fmf because its very inexpensive compared to other brands.

Well you say youd like to go mid range, Id go with the F7, has great ALL AROUND power, unlike pretty much every pipe, the F7 adds great bottom and mid power, it also has excellent top end. the F7 is pretty much an ALL AROUND power gain - great exhaust
Project Blaster - Online Store

theres the LRD exhaust, this is another GREAT exhaust, designed for better throttle responce and mid range with a huge increase in top end performance.

theres the power pros exhaust which is the exact same thing as the F7.

then you have the toomey B1, pro circuit, fmf, DG - these are the less expensive exhausts but dont perform as good as the ones listed above. Id say out of these 4 the toomey b1 is def. the best.

toomeyb1 - Toomey B-1 Pipe Kit | Rocky Mountain ATV/MC

fmf - Two Stroke Pipes | Exhaust | Rocky Mountain ATV/MC

Theres also the DMC alien, ive heard great things about it, sapossed to give performance increases like the f7 and lrd, but its not as pricey.
DMC Alien Complete - Blaster

dont choose your exhaust by the price, you have to think of the type of riding you do, and the type of rider you are (agressive or not) and choose an exhaust best fit for ya, not best price for ya, then when you choose a certain brand, then you go and find the best price for ya hahaha.

shoot me a pm if you have any further questions, and i also have a thread in the "engine" section stickyd at the top with a bunch of dif. sound clips of different blaster exhaust. heres a link to it - http://www.blasterforum.com/engine/2469-i-need-sound-clips.html

hook it up with some "rep"

I would say the toomey b1 should be right up there with the f7 from my experience, but okay. :)

great post and yeah I'd def go with F7 or toomey. great all around! I:I

i think im gonna aim at the lrd exhaust that one sounds great but someone also told me if i get a new exhaust id need a jet kit? have no idea what that is so can anyone help me there?

alright so i just ordered an lrd full exhaust, do i need to worry about getting a new jet kit for it?

also

also i would not try to ride it with the pipe on and not jetted because you will most likely blow up your top end

and i would also get a aftermarket air filter and take the airbox lid off to that makes a big diff in power also

i hope it does, and im going to order a k&n air filter w/ the pre-filter on it tomaro, is there anything else that i should be aware of?

The exhaust kit might come with the dif. main jet for jetting, if not you will ned to buy the jet kit. Instead, tho, just go to jetsrus.com and buy the jets you need individualy and save yourself 30 bucks. check the description on the website for the exhaust and it should say somewhere if they are included.

also post a thread asking what jet size you will need if it doesnt come with the ehaust.

no, the toomey is not a close comparible match up with the f7.

where can i find one of those? cuz i asked our local shop if they could order one but they said they didnt have it in there book and ebay only has one on there so where else should i look to get one?

the outerwears airbox lid? i got mine off ebay. if there is only one on there give it a day or two and look again, they will be on there. if you get the outerwears airbox lid, k&n filter, and lrd pipe i would think jetting should be somewhere around 310 or 320. order a couple jets, start a little big, then work smaller. look at the diy section on how to read plug colors to tell if jetting is rich, lean, or just right.
