ok so i got this new 28mm carb and in was saposed to fit right onto my stock boots and it is around 7mm bigger on the intake side and i cant get my air boot on it and my clutch is hiting the carb!

so do i get a clamp on and say screw the air box thing or what else is their to do?

and also i just got a new stock k&n filter for it 35$ later

also have stock carb if anyone needs it
with tors
of a 2005 blaster
and\or a jet kit fmf stock
 
Yes it will go on there. Take a hair dryer and heat the boot up a little then spray it with WD-40. Start on the bottom and work both sides until you reach the top. Using a very small pick or a screwdriver, GENTLY work the boot up and over the carb. Install the clamp and apply more heat to the boot. This will assure that the boot will retain the shape that it needs to be after a day or 2.

You should check to see if the clutch needs adjusting before doing this. If needed, adjust at the clutch basket as the manual suggests and turn the carb slightly to clear the clutch arm.

The boot will fit that carb, we do it all the time this way.
