I know this has been covered before , but I haven't seen any posts where they have all these issues to list. Here's the issues I have been having. Compression feels low , as i can push it down with hand. It is sometimes hard to start , sometimes starts 1st or 2nd kick. Revs fine , and runs ok until it hits about half throttle , then bogs down but still runs. It will also run great on certain days. It's also backfired on me when it didn't want to start. I have had black oil running down my silencer , and where the head comes into the cylinder. I've also have gas that drips from the carb. if I leave the gas on at night. Plug is wet and black. Have put fresh gas mixed at 32:1 in it. I know I need to compression test , and leak down test. I have checked about everything other than crank seals , and float height. I bought a new top end kit with cylinder. What should I do next ?

Simply, leak test, compression test, fix the leaky exhaust.

Check the needle is in the middle slot, clean the carb, adjust the float level, adjust the idle then plug chop to confirm jetting.

As simple as crapping the bed.

Blaaster , Thank you very much sir. Should I go ahead and put the new top end on. I have no idea how many hours are on it. I bought it last year , and I'm still trying to fix everything that they had messed up.

If you feel the need to fit the other top end, at least investigate the compression and leak test before you do anything.

I'm yet to do the leak down test , but the compression was at 100. I also noticed that my head gasket is leaking. Atleast I assume it is , as there is gas/oil between the cylinder and the cylinder head.

If I do end up needing a new top end , Is there anything else I should replace while it's apart ? Like crank seals/bearings ?

If the head gasket is leaky then this could be why the compression is low.

Before you think top end fix the gasket, you may not need to re build.

OK , I will try replacing just the head gasket first. What will a leaky head gasket do other than lower compression ?

It will create a lean condition as it lets air into the combustion chamber. I would replace the gasket, torque the head down and compression test it.
