Im looking at an '05 Blaster tomorrow morning. Here is what is done to it. Is the fact that is was bored .40 over a problem or concern? Im not very knowledgable about this type of motor work so give me plain english. Below is a pic. Thanks.
Bored out .40 over, quad is like a brand new, no leaks anywhere, every gasket was changed when i did the bottom and top end, exhaust was done, gasket packing, brand new brakes, tires, grips, air filter, everything was tuned the quad is mint.
new bottom end, hot rod crank, new pistons and rings k and n filter, rear spacers, new tires all around, holeshots its got the b1 toomeys pipe, taper bars

.040 is nothin to worry about...and b4 i get ahead of myself whats the price this dude is askin....and as long as it checks out like it sounds it should, and is priced decently....sounds like a decent bike.....pics and price will be helpful though....

I just added a pic in the original post. Wants $1400 for it. Good price?

best advice is to do a compression check before purchasing, a tester $15 at harbor freight, just screws into the sparkplug hole, hold throttle open and kick it till the gauge stops moving, anywhere near 120psi is good, around or below 100psi and he's lying about the motor work, look elsewhere

and how much ????

it would really have to be in complete mint condition, and the motor check out for good compression to be worth that
ask him if he has any receipts for the motor work or at least the parts

I honestly dont see it going for $1000. Ive been watching Blasters sell in my area for about 3-4 weeks now. Most 2000 and up are getting over $1000.

i agree, if it's mint, on 05, and the motor checks out, try to get it a little cheaper, a handful of money talks, but it's worth it

Looks to me that that is the 2003 se edition
Your right, not an '05. Said he changed the plastics cause they were beat up. Got the VIN and using free online searches, its an '04 not an '05. I just informed him what year he was selling. Little skeptical if I should bother looking at it. He wants $1400 firm also.

1400 is a good deal for that bike. in the shape that its in. seems to have an extended axle? swingarm might be stock. need a complete list of mods to really see what its worth. a stock blaster in decent condition and runs good is worth about 700
