i just rebuilt my top end and had a friend go through my carb and replaced pretty much everything. everything including top end is stock parts and size. bolted everything back together cranked it up and been riding it just fine. went to put plastics back on and installed air box lid. now wont rev out, it bogs down if you give it throttle. i opened the carb up and made sure stock jet is in there and checked air screw and is set to 1 1/2 turns. dont know whats up. i cleaned air filter, dont know maybe need new one, please help

If it works to take of the lid then if you want to run it with the lid on adjust your mixture screw. Sounds like you are running too rich. Give it more air!

i kinda need to run with the lid real dusty around here and sometimes go through water, everything is stock so it should run with the lid on and 1 1/2 turns on air screw, but its not, i can run the screw all the way out and still dont run with the lid on,

run with the lid off. if you are concerned with dust you can get an outterwears pre-filter for you air filter, and also a pre-filter air box lid. that should keep out most dust. i have both the pre-filters, and my air filter stays really clean:-)

or you could just drill some holes in the airbox and see if that works that ways its got a little protection

its just that the motor and carb is stock, just wondering why it wont run with the lid. everything on bike is stock, just curious i guess

ur motor is getting to much gas and not enough air, the stock airbox design is absolutly sh*tty, i had the same prob way back, it was bog bog bog and no clues what to do, so tried it one day and problem solved but adjust ur airscrew to 11/2 to 2 turns out.
