Yes you can install to see what the sounds are gonna change into. However i wouldnt ride it long with the jetting off, as it can cause you major damage to not only the top end but other areas of importance.

I Would Say NOT To do Any Of This ^^ , But That's Just my Opinion , Wait until You have the Proper Jets , A few Spark Plugs For Plug Chops And Go From there .

That is all a matter of opinion, You can fire it up and see what the sounds are. Its just the same as firing it up while trying to jet it correctly. 10 seconds of run time isnt enough to kill it.(Unless you rappp it out and are trying to kill it i guess). But I do agree with BlasterBruce it is always safer to wait.

New parts are tempting and they almost burn a hole in the box waiting to be installed.

ok yea i was wondering it just sucks that no places around me are open today or tommarow im off work so wana get it on and done but didnt think about the jets till today but my one buddy said he has some jets so gonna see what he has tommarow hopefully the right one

beater blaster lol your right the header came in today and the silencer came in friday so yea its burning a hole in the box waiting to go on lol i hate waiting but when i rush sh*t it usually goes bad

Do not be tempted to start the motor until you have fitted jets to suit the pipe.

The temptation of taking it for a quick squirt around the yard may be just enough to do some damage.

Although the motor will start and could run perfectly up to 1/2 to 3/4 throttle where the main jet comes into play, your mate Will Power may just not be strong enough to resist the "What if I"

yea but i dont understand everyone says dnt run it till you have propper jetting in it how will i know whats proper if i dont run it and plug chop some people said might only need a 260 main jet i got a 250 in there now not saying im gonna go beat the hell out of it and al till i get the higher jet in it to be safe im just trying to see if theres a notice in sound and idle to adjust also

Not known to the majority of 2 stroke owners is the fact that a slightly lean mix will run like a scalded cat being chased by a randy Pitbull, and sound awesome.

This may fool you into thinking that everything is hunky dory, and lead you to wider and yet wider throttle openings.

The problem lies in, as it is too lean, mild detonation will occur, which will be unnoticable to you, but will most certainly do some, if not a lot of damage to the piston and rings.

Start with a larger than you think jet, and plug chop to perfection.
